Kyoko Maya

Biography

Sonoko Maya, born as Sonoko Shibamoto in 1952, is a Japanese actress known for her roles in "Gô-hime" (1992), "Suspicion" (1982), and "Tora-san Meets His Lordship" (1977). She began her career with the drama troupe Min'gei in 1973 after initially considering becoming a stewardess or auditioning for television shows. Maya made her screen debut in 1973's NHK series "Out of Sight."
