Biography

Matthew James Vogel is a puppeteer and actor, known for his work with Sesame Workshop and the Muppets. Since 2017, he has performed Kermit the Frog, taking over from Steve Whitmire, and has been the full-time performer of Big Bird since 2018, following Caroll Spinney's retirement. Vogel has also voiced Count von Count and Floyd Pepper, among other characters, and directed Sesame Street segments as early as 2006.
