Elli Fotiou

Biography

Elli Fotiou, born Evangelia Trigonopoulou on September 30, 1939, in Piraeus, Greece, graduated from the Drama School of the National Theatre in 1962. She won First Prize for Performance at the Thessaloniki Film Festival for her play Epistrofi in 1966 and has represented Greece at major film festivals including Cannes (1965), Berlin (1966), and Moscow (1966). A member of the Greek Actors' Union and Greek Theatre Centre, she has appeared in numerous theatre, film, radio, and television productions.
