Biography

David Kaplan is a theoretical particle physicist at Johns Hopkins University, known for his research on physics beyond the standard model and its connections to cosmology. He has received prestigious fellowships, including Kavli Frontiers Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and Alfred P. Sloan Fellow. As a scientist and filmmaker, Kaplan co-hosted the National Geographic Channel's Known Universe documentary series in 2011 and produced and starred in the documentary Particle Fever.
