Biography

Efthimis Filippou is a Greek writer and screenwriter, known for his collaborations with director Yorgos Lanthimos on critically acclaimed films such as Dogtooth, Alps, The Lobster, and The Killing of a Sacred Deer. He won the Golden Osella Award for Best Screenplay at the 68th Venice International Film Festival in 2011 for his work on Alps, and was nominated for an Oscar for his screenplay in The Lobster. He has become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
