Marc Caro is a French filmmaker and cartoonist born April 2, 1956. He met Jean-Pierre Jeunet at an animation festival in Annecy in 1974, leading to a long-lasting collaboration that yielded two award-winning animated shorts and the critically acclaimed feature films Delicatessen (1991) and The City of Lost Children (1995). Caro's solo directorial debut was Dante 01, marking a departure from his work with Jeunet.
