Dante Varona was a renowned Filipino actor and stuntman of the 1970s and 1980s, known for his death-defying stunts. He began his film career in 1968 with Mangificent Siete Bandidas and gained fame with roles such as Master Stuntman (1970) and Leon Dimasupil (1973). Varona's most notable stunt involved jumping from the San Juanico Bridge, earning him the title of "King of Stunts."
