Biography

Věra Tichánková was a Czech actress whose career spanned over seven decades. Before becoming an actress, she studied chemistry and briefly attended the Prague Conservatory before being interrupted by her involvement in the anti-Nazi resistance during the Nazi occupation. After surviving imprisonment and a major Allied air raid, she went on to marry actor Jan Skopeček and appear in notable films like "90 Degrees in the Shade" (1965). She passed away in 2014 at age 93.
