Andy McDermott is a retired American soccer midfielder turned actor, writer, and sports entertainment executive. He had a storied collegiate soccer career at Northwestern University, earning All Big-Ten honors and finishing as the all-time assist record holder. McDermott also played professionally in the USL A-League and signed with the Chicago Stingers, who won the 1998 league championship.
