Raised between Iran, Europe, Canada, and the US, he discovered his passion for the arts in his early 20s and began studying with Judith Weston before transitioning to stage and indie film. He gained critical acclaim for his lead role in "The Taqwacores" at Sundance Festival and appeared in Ben Affleck's Oscar-winning "Argo".
