Uldis Pūcītis
Biography
Uldis Pūcītis was a Latvian actor, scriptwriter, and film director born in Ranka parish, Gulbene District, in 1937. He graduated from the Latvian State Conservatory in 1959 and began his stage career, eventually transitioning to film with notable roles in period dramas such as "Purva bridējs" (1965) and the TV series "Dead Mountaineer's Hotel" (1979). Pūcītis co-directed the award-winning TV mini-series "Izpostītā ligzda" in 1998.
