Biography

Rathna Kumar is a versatile filmmaker known for his work in low-budget films. His breakthrough came with the feature film adaptation of his short film Meyaadha Maan (2017), which marked a significant departure from the typical multistarrer films in Tamil cinema. Kumar's subsequent film Aadai (2019) tackled a pressing social issue, while he also co-wrote the critically acclaimed Master (2021), collaborating with friend and fellow filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj.
