James Lankford

Biography

James Lankford, born on March 4, 1968, is a Baptist minister and politician who has served as the senior United States senator from Oklahoma since 2015. Before his Senate tenure, he represented Oklahoma's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015. Lankford also led the Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center from 1996 to 2009 and chaired the House Republican Policy Committee.
