Gérard Tichy was a German-Spanish actor born Gerhard Johannes Alexander Tichy Wondzinski on March 11, 1920, in Weißenfels, Saxony-Anhalt. He served as an infantry soldier in the Wehrmacht during World War II and later escaped from captivity to flee to Spain. After being released from custody by other German expats, he settled in Madrid and began his acting career. Notable film roles include Dr. Jennings in "Pieces" (1982) and Professor Leon Droila in "The Hanging Woman" (1973).
