Jimmy Chin

Biography

Jimmy Chin is a professional climber and mountaineer who has led numerous expeditions to remote regions around the world, including notable ascents of Mount Everest, Meru Peak's Shark's Fin wall, and crossings of the Chang Tang Plateau in Tibet. He has also won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature as a co-director with his wife Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi for their documentary Free Solo. Chin is also a photographer and author, with work featured in publications like National Geographic and The New York Times Magazine.
