Frank Gilhooley

Biography

Frank Gilhooley was born in Loanhead, central Scotland, and initially trained as a landscape contractor before discovering his passion for acting through the Edinburgh Theatre Workshops community play in 2001. He made his breakthrough with roles in "One Last Chance" and John in "It's A Free World...", working alongside acclaimed director Ken Loach and actress Keirston Wareing. Gilhooley has since worked on various UK film and television projects, most recently appearing as a violent inmate in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy".
