Graham William Stark was an English comedian, actor, writer, and director born on January 20, 1922, in New Brighton, Wirral, England. He made his professional stage debut at 13 in pantomime and later served in the RAF entertaining troops during World War II, meeting fellow performers Peter Sellers and Tony Hancock. Stark studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before joining Grafton's pub, a venue that launched the careers of prominent entertainers.
