Jenö Herczeg

Biography

Jenö Herczeg was a Hungarian actor and kabaréművész born in Budapest to a Jewish family. He studied at the Színiakadémián before joining Thália Társasághoz, later becoming a prominent figure in Budapest's cabaret scene with appearances at Modern Színpad Nagy Endre Kabaré and Apolló Kabaré. Herczeg also worked as a theatre director and comedian, and was married to Zsófi Gombótz from 1917 until his death in 1961.
