István Bársony was a Hungarian actor and director born Braun István in Budapest on February 2, 1882. He studied philosophy at the Budapesti Tudományegyetem before attending the Színművészeti Akadémia, where he graduated in 1902. Notable roles include "Hyppolit, the Butler" (1931) and a stint as lead director of Új Színház from 1927 to an unspecified date.
