Midge Ure, a Scottish singer-songwriter and record producer, rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s with bands like Slik, Thin Lizzy, Rich Kids, Visage, and Ultravox. He co-wrote and produced the iconic charity single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" in 1984, which sold over 3 million copies in the UK and remains a staple of Christmas songs. Ure also organized Live Aid and Live 8 with Bob Geldof, serving as an ambassador for Save the Children.
