Amanda Foreman is a British-American biographer and historian born in London to screenwriter Carl Foreman and his wife Evelyn Smith. She has written several notable books, including "Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire" and "The World Made by Women." A former columnist for The Wall Street Journal's "Historically Speaking," she has also contributed to CBS News as a royal correspondent. Her work explores women's roles in history and society.
