María Alejandra Borrero Saa is a Colombian actress of film, stage, and television born on April 25, 1962. She defied traditional standards in her conservative upbringing, manifesting a liberal life that led to a notable coming-out as lesbian in 1998, causing depression before eventually finding acceptance upon returning to Colombia four years later. Borrero has since spoken out on LGBTQ+ issues and has been in a long-term relationship with Katrin Nyfeler, whom she is engaged to marry.
