Evel Knievel
Biography
Evel Knievel was an American stunt performer and entertainer known for his death-defying motorcycle jumps. He attempted over 75 ramp-to-ramp jumps throughout his career, earning him induction into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999. A former U.S. Army veteran and rodeo competitor, Knievel's daredevil antics brought him fame and financial success, but also took a toll on his health, ultimately leading to his death at age 69 from pulmonary disease.
