Biography

Jay Kirby was a talented actor known for his role as Johnny Travers in six Hopalong Cassidy Westerns of the 1940s. His breakout performance came in "Rockin' in the Rockies" (1945) as Rusty Williams. After serving in World War II, Kirby continued to act throughout the war and its aftermath, eventually adopting a new name, Bill George, for his final film appearance in 1949.
