Bettye Ackerman

Biography

Bettye Louise Ackerman was born on February 28, 1924, in Williston, South Carolina, and grew up to become a prominent television actress. She graduated from Columbia College in 1945 and went on to study at Columbia University and Otis Art Institute, before making her mark on TV with roles on Ben Casey, Bracken's World, and Return to Peyton Place. Her appearances spanned several decades and genres.
