Gail Zappa

Biography

Adelaide Gail Zappa was born on January 1, 1945, in Philadelphia to a family with German-American and Portuguese ancestry. In 1966, she met Frank Zappa in Los Angeles and married while pregnant, going on to found the Zappa Family Trust in 2002, which holds his musical and artistic products' title and copyright. She was trustee until her son Ahmet inherited it before her death from lung cancer in 2015.
