Majora Carter

Biography

Majora Carter is a pioneering urban revitalization strategist and public radio host from New York City's South Bronx. She founded Sustainable South Bronx in 2001, advocating for the redevelopment of illegal dumping sites like Hunts Point Riverside Park. Carter also co-founded the Bronx River Alliance and has continued to work on waterfront restoration projects through her non-profit organization.
