Mary Dean was an American actress, singer, and songwriter known for her collaborations with Fred Astaire and Leo Carrillo, and her successful songwriting credits, including the 1966 hit "Don't Give Me No Friction." She began her acting career at a young age, appearing in films such as "A Damsel in Distress" and "Cinderella Jones." Dean also provided vocal work for the 1972 animated film "Fritz the Cat."
