Biography

Éloïse Becht, known professionally as Ovidie, is a French filmmaker and former pornographic actress. She has directed numerous films, including the documentary "Pornocratie: Les nouvelles multinationales du sexe" (2017), and has written several books on the topics of sex work and feminism. A self-described middle-class activist turned industry participant, Ovidie has challenged her own feminist identity through her work in the adult film industry.
