Candice Michele Barley was born in Columbia, South Carolina. Her early exposure to acting began on film sets as an infant, with notable appearances in commercials and ads while traveling the country with her photographer parents. A family friend, James Garner, introduced her to movie making at age four, sparking her passion for playing strong female roles. She is currently producing a historical film based on courageous women's acts in 1858.
