Marcelo Ramón Pereda Saro was a Spanish-Mexican actor, screenwriter, film producer, and director who appeared in notable films such as "La llorona" (1933) alongside María Antonieta Pons and Adriana Lamar, whom he married. He also directed María Cristina (1951) and It Happened in Mexico (1958). Pereda's work spanned multiple genres, including revue film Paramount on Parade (1930) and the classic thriller "The Crying Woman" (1933).
