Biography

Antonythasan Jesuthasan, a Sri Lankan Tamil author and actor, was born in 1967 and grew up in the village of Allaipiddy on the island of Velanaitivu in northern Sri Lanka. A former member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, Jesuthasan joined the militant group at 15 and became disillusioned with it, leaving in 1986. He later moved to Colombo, where he began his acting career with the 2011 film Sengadal, followed by notable roles in "Dheepan" (2015).
