Ruth Kobart was an American performer whose six-decade career spanned opera, Broadway musicals, and film. She made her professional debut as the Witch in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel, marking the beginning of a versatile career that included notable roles in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," "Petulia," and "Dirty Harry." Kobart also had a successful concert career, debuting at New York City Opera in 1958.
