Harry Bowen was a character actor who began his career in film shorts during the silent era and transitioned to talking pictures. He appeared in over 150 films, including notable collaborations with comedians like Charley Chase and Laurel & Hardy, as well as starring alongside Edward G. Robinson in John Ford's comedy "The Whole Town's Talking." His final screen appearance was in the 1939 film "The Day the Bookies Wept."
