Pierre Rabhi

Biography

Pierre Rabhi was a French writer, farmer, and environmentalist who played a pivotal role in shaping French agroecology. He invented the concept of "an oasis in any place" and advocated for sustainable agricultural practices that respect population and land boundaries. His use of biodynamic agriculture was a subject of controversy. A pioneer in his field, Rabhi passed away at 83 in 2021.
