Masakane Yonekura

Biography

Masakane Yonekura was a Japanese stage director, actor, author, and illustrator who co-founded the Gekidan Mingei theatre company. He appeared in notable films such as "Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo" (1970) and "Belladonna of Sadness" (1973), voiced the Priest in the latter. A prolific performer, Yonekura's extensive work spanned stage, television, and film, including roles in period dramas like "Kunitori Monogatari" (1973) and "Hideyoshi" (1996).
