Biography

Kanjūrō Arashi was a renowned Japanese film actor, best known for his iconic portrayal of Kurama Tengu in the Bakumatsu era series, which earned him widespread recognition and acclaim. His notable performances also include the Emperor Meiji in several hit films and appearances in yakuza films throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Arashi won a Mainichi Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Profound Desire of the Gods.
