Robert Sapolsky

Biography

Robert Sapolsky is a neuroscientist and primatologist born on April 6, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York, to immigrants from the Soviet Union. He is currently the John A. and Cynthia Fry Gunn Professor at Stanford University, where he researches neuroendocrinology, particularly stress. As an Orthodox Jew raised in a devout household, Sapolsky later became an atheist.
