Biography

Philippe Hériat was a French novelist, playwright, and actor born in Paris in 1898. He studied under film director René Clair before making his debut in silent film in 1920. His notable literary works include the Prix Renaudot-winning novel "L'Innocent" and the Prix Goncourt-winning novels "Les Enfants gâtés" and "La Famille Boussardel", for which he was awarded the Grand Prix du roman de l'Académie française in 1947.
