Clive Oppenheimer

Biography

Clive Oppenheimer is a British volcanologist and Professor of Volcanology at the University of Cambridge, where he has a long-standing research focus on volcanology and geochemistry, particularly in Antarctica. He has spent 13 seasons conducting field work on Mount Erebus, and made significant discoveries, including the recovery of two lost campsites from Scott's Terra Nova expedition. He has also worked on projects in North Korea and collaborated with notable volcanologists, including Werner Herzog.
