Barbara Goalen was a British model who rose to international prominence between 1945 and 1954, earning the nickname "the most photographed woman in Britain." She epitomised post-war glamour, modelling for iconic designers like Dior and Balenciaga, and was arguably the first British supermodel. A personal tragedy, the loss of her husband and children, led her to end her illustrious modelling career at its peak.
