Biography

Leonid Nevzlin is a Russian-born Israeli businessman, investor, and philanthropist, born in Moscow in 1959 to a Lithuanian Jewish family. He earned degrees in oil and gas management from Moscow universities before joining Group Menatep and its subsidiary Yukos Oil Company, where he held high-ranking positions. Nevzlin was found guilty of conspiracy to murder in absentia in 2008, but was later cleared by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in 2014.
