Scoey Mitchell

Biography

Scoey Mitchell was a pioneering television actor, writer, and director who broke ground for African American artists in front of and behind the camera in the 1960s. He appeared on popular game shows like Match Game and Tattletales, and had recurring roles on Rhoda and in the short-lived series Barefoot in the Park. Mitchell also created two NBC television series, Me and Mrs. C and 13 East, before his passing in 2022.
