Biography

John Davey is a retired American actor born on June 25, 1939, in Winnemucca, Nevada. He rose to fame as Captain Marvel on the Shazam! television series in the mid-1970s. Prior to his acting career, Davey served in the US Marine Corps from 1957 to 1961 and worked as a heavyweight boxer, including a stint as a sparring partner for Joe Frazier. He also appeared in numerous TV series and films, including Perry Mason and The Rockford Files.
