Biography

Barbara Montgomery is a veteran actress and director, known for her iconic role as Cassietta Hetebrink on the NBC sitcom Amen (1986-1990). She began her career on the stage in the 1960s and went on to earn an Obie Award for her performance in My Sister, My Sister. Montgomery has also appeared in numerous TV shows, including A Different World, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Living Single. She made her directorial debut in 2013 with the historical film Mitote.
