Peter Spears is a film producer and actor born on November 29, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri. He is best known for winning an Oscar for producing Nomadland (2020) and for producing the critically acclaimed film Call Me by Your Name (2017). Spears also directed the underground cult-favorite short film Ernest and Bertram, a reimagining of Sesame Street characters Bert and Ernie as gay lovers.
