Whitman Blount Mayo Jr., born on November 15, 1930, was an American actor known for his role as Grady Wilson on the 1970s television sitcom Sanford and Son. Notably, he portrayed characters older than his actual age, playing Grady at 40 despite being in his 30s. He also appeared in films like Boyz n the Hood (1991). Mayo passed away on May 22, 2001.
