Marjo-Riikka Mäkelä is a Finnish actress and director, born on May 7, 1971. She is known for her roles in stage productions, including classic plays like Le Misanthrope and Euripides' Medea, as well as adaptations like The Cider House Rules. A pioneer of the Michael Chekhov acting technique, Mäkelä has trained in Russia and now shares her expertise through her Los Angeles-based acting studio, Chekhov Studio International.
