Gilles Peterson is a broadcaster, DJ, and record label owner known for his genre-defying approach to music with jazz at its core. He championed a range of music globally, from dance to experimental, after starting his career on London pirate stations and hosting the BBC's Mad on Jazz. Peterson joined London's first jazz station Jazz FM in 1990, bringing his unique style to the airwaves. He has since become a respected voice in the music industry.
