Amy Brenneman is a veteran American actress born on June 22, 1964, in New London, Connecticut. She first gained prominence as Detective Janice Licalsi in NYPD Blue and later created and starred in the hit CBS series Judging Amy, earning multiple Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Brenneman has also appeared in notable roles in medical dramas Private Practice and The Leftovers, and in films like Heat and Nine Lives.
